Diverse Voices in Docs alum and Finding Yingying director Jiayan “Jenny” Shi has been named to the second cohort of the “Sundance Institute | The Asian American Foundation Fellowship and Collab Scholarship” to provide AAPI artists working in film and television with professional development opportunities and community building with like-minded creatives and mentors. This program supports artists across the spectrum of their career from emerging artists to more established ones with the goal of meaningfully increasing AAPI representation in independent media. Her forthcoming project Untitled Scientist Project has received support from the 2023 Sundance Institute Sandbox Fund for projects highlighting diversity in science.
