Brandon and Lance Kramer’s Holding Liat, in Association with Kartemquin Films, is an intimate portrait following the kidnapping of Liat Beinin Atzili in Israel on October 7th. The documentary captures the conflicting perspectives of her Israeli-American family as they fight for her release and the future of the places they call home. Her father resists efforts to use her captivity to justify escalating violence in Gaza, exposing political and emotional rifts within his family as they struggle to find a way to bring her home.
